2014 Boatswap & Chowder Challenge

The Port is pleased to announce the 2014 Port of Olympia Boatswap & Chowder Challenge at Swantown Marina.

The event will be held Saturday, May 17 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Swantown Marina. This event draws boaters and clam chowder enthusiasts from miles around for a day of fun on Olympia's waterfront on East Bay!

The Boatswap & Chowder Challenge is a special community festival that features a clam chowder cook-off among local area restaurants and caterers, a boat and gear swap for boaters, plus music and family entertainment all day! The event will open at 10:00 am, with chowder tasting beginning at 12:30 pm and ending at 2:00 pm.

Admission to the event is free, but there is a cost of $5.00 per person to participate in the chowder tasting. Awards for the best tasting chowders will begin at 2:15 pm. Watch for additional information to be added as the event planning moves forward.
